Phillip Maciak The New Republic The Chair Company manages to be both a high-surrealist critique of the dehumanization of work and a portrait of fragile humanity. You won’t get swept away by its narrative or its cast of characters, but you might find yourself, unaccountably, moved. Nov 10, 2025 Full Review Beth Webb Empire Magazine An incendiary, violently funny nightmare, The Chair Company gifts us Tim Robinson at the top of his strange, single-player game. There is nobody doing what he does. And we, thankfully, have to live with that. Rated: 4/5 Oct 28, 2025 Full Review Melanie McFarland Salon.com For all its familiar eccentricity, “The Chair Company” is ultimately a satisfying exercise of give-and-take, with Robinson empowering his costars to draw us into their squeamishness and oddity as frequently as his everyman stampedes through his. Oct 15, 2025 Full Review Alison Gillmor Winnipeg Free Press The ensuing descent into Ohio’s weirdo underworld alternates between scenes that are darkly, absurdly funny and unexpectedly, painfully poignant. Nov 19, 2025 Full Review Bob Grimm Reno News and Review This is a perfect vehicle for Tim Robinson’s odd comedy...it gets funnier and stranger with each episode. Rated: 5/5 Nov 18, 2025 Full Review Stephen Porzio joe.ie While you may start watching The Chair Company for its absurd humour, as the series continues, you do become gripped by its unconventional mystery thriller plot and the increasingly bizarre ways it unfolds. Karin H. Don’t want to be elitist, but this humor is of niche taste. Specific taste, not conventional humor, it’s increasing absurdity accepted because he’s totally sincere. Why an office chair is a government conspiracy is hilarious. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/30/25 Full Review John B I was excited to have something new and different on, but could never decide whether I liked it or not...and somehow that was the part I liked the most. "Is this good or suxxorz?" I could never decide. After 7 episodes, I realized that I just don't care. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/29/25 Full Review Kristopher C. Hilarious, in the weirdest ways possible Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/27/25 Full Review Tony B Why do I find this so funny?? I can't explain it, no one can. Please watch see if you can explain it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/25 Full Review Henk v Reading these reviews is do telling of two types of people and their humor. The stuff that makes it so great for people like me, just doesn't register at all for them, almost like a color frequency that is simply not picked up by their eye, in spite of how critical and analytical they think they are being about this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/25 Full Review Mark D Not funny. Deeply unlikeable lead. Nonsense plot devices. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/25/25 Full Review Read all reviews
