Melanie McFarland Salon.com Improbable scenarios are part of this show’s bargain with viewers... But the series’ demonstration of what many of us are willing to excuse to rise on the wings of wrongdoing makes absolute sense. Nov 20, 2025 Full Review Phillip Maciak The New Republic The Beast in Me seems content to have its stars, and the vague outlines of its plot suggest these kinds of insights to us, to leave us viewers plenty of space on-screen to fill in our own complexity. Nov 19, 2025 Full Review Riese Bernard Autostraddle Danes, as always, delivers a masterclass in vacillating vulnerability; in moments where the mask falls and in those where smoothly puts it on. Nov 18, 2025 Full Review Ricky Valero FandomWire Each week you have ample options to watch on TV, but The Beast in Me is a can't-miss crime thriller. Matthew Rhys gives one of the most terrifying performances of the year. Rated: 9/10 Nov 22, 2025 Full Review Ty'Kira Smalls Common Sense Media The Beast in Me is dark, unsettling, and well-paced in its story. The performances from the cast elevate this otherwise simple (on the surface) mystery. Rated: 4/5 Nov 20, 2025 Full Review Alan French Sunshine State Cineplex While it [The Beast in Me] homes in on the violence and danger within every person, it does not seek to say much more than that. That might be why the show is simply good, instead of great, but at least you’ll be entertained the whole time through. Rated: 7/10 Nov 19, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Joe C I really enjoyed the acting of Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys in this, they did an excellent job at portraying the personality traits that make the characters they are playing real people and not just a 2D version. These story overall was generally well thought through and executed, the only thing I felt let it down was the ending which seemed rushed without the tension building as seen through earlier episodes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/30/25 Full Review Audience Member Bizarre plot holes and typical "we don't know what to show so we will fill it with boring family-corporate drama". Another thing that breaks the fun is revealing and too boring with other pov's. Stick to the hitchcock narrative, forget about corporate crime nonsense. Those two don't work together. There are maybe 2 good or somewhat good episodes in the whole show and writing is often pretty bad due to a various ridiculous plot events. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/30/25 Full Review Rob A A psychological thriller with outstanding acting - especially from the three leads - this was a masterpiece that I binged through in a single day. Brittany Snow, after The Hunting Wives and now this, should win People Magazine sexiest woman alive for 2025. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/30/25 Full Review Maich R Creepy, tense, unsettling, and just a great psychological masterpiece. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/30/25 Full Review Daniella C Claire Danes' character is so unbelievably unlikeable that I found myself legitimately rooting for the bad guys. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/30/25 Full Review Jamie C Beast in me could've been a great show. it ended up being pretty good as mini series, but the frustration it leaves when it ends, knowing it could've been better will leave an after taste. Matthew Rhys is great as Nile Jarvis (no surprise there) and the rest of the cast is so-so, with Claire Danes a total miscast for the role.. her character and delivery simply is not believable for the story arch, Jonathan Banks is great as always, and the series has a nice flow. but too many "almost had it" moments either in casting, acting or writing make this a "could've been". looking forward to what comes next for Matthew, Jonathan and the team.
